The restricted is not a meaning that you are not allowed to trekking in Nepal in limit parts of Himalaya. It is under control by the government of Nepal without any sub-communities.
Restricted areas are mostly at the remote mountain valleys bordering Tibet. Trek to such a region, the group size should be at least two trekkers and no limit for the numbers of maximum. It is under-practiced that if you pay a double royalty then after your trekking agency can organize it. You cannot trek without issued the permit through a trekking agency. Restricted areas permit known as a special trekking permit. Normally, the trekking permit does not require below 10 years child. So We, Nepal Kailash Trekking would like to informed you, do not be confused that if your child (Children) below aged 10 then no need to buy any trekking permit in Nepal even it is restricted areas.
These areas promoted the occasional report from researchers and government guests, who spoke of untouched Shangri-Las and pockets of pristine Tibetan culture. The fabulous mountain scenery, it was said, ranged from the high-altitude Trans-Himalayan Kanchenjunga, Humla, Mugu, deserts of Mustang and Upper Dolpo to the deep jungle gorges of Manaslu (from Lonely Planet).
Restricted areas:
1. Humla District (Simikot and Yari)
Areas of Limi and Muchu Village Development Committee (VDC), area way to Tibet via Tangekhola of Dharma VDC – for the first 7 days the US $50 per person per entry and after 7 days the US $7 per person per day ((or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
2. Mugu District
Area of Mugu, Dolpu (Dolphu), Pulu and Bhangri (Mangri) VDC - for the first 7 days The US $90 per person per entry and after 7 days the US $15 per person per day ((or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
3. Dolpo District
(i) Areas of Upper Dolpo - for the first 10 days US $500 per person per entry and after 10 days the US $50 per person per day ((or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
(ii) Areas of Lower Dolpo – per week per person US $ 10
4. Mustang District
Upper Mustang - For the first 10 days US $500 per person per entry and after 10 days the US $50 per person per day ((or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
5. Manang District – Areas of Nar Phu
Area of Nar, Phu and Northern area of Tilche and Thoche VDC – From September to November per week US $90 per person per entry December to August per week US $75 per person per day and even one more days than after a week then next same amount should pay (or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
6. Gorkha District
Chhekamparo and Chunchet VDC (Sirdibas, Lokpa, Chumling, Chhekamparo, Nile, Chule area) - From September to November per person per entry US $ 35 for first 8 Days and December to August per person per entry US $ 35 for first 8 Days and even one more day than mentioned 8 days then next same amount should pay (or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
7. Rasuwa District – Thuman and Timure
Per week per person US $ 10 (or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
8. Dolakha District – Gaurishankar and Lamabagar
Gaurishankar 1 Beding, Chhorolpa area, and Lamabagar 1 Lepche - Per week per person the US $ 10 (or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
9. Solukhumbu District – (Everest Region)
All northwest area of Thame to Nangpala of Namche VDC – Per week US $ 10 (first 4 weeks) per person per entry and after 4 weeks the US $ 20 per person per week till 4 weeks (or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
10. Sankhuwasabha District - Kimathanka, Chepuwa, Hatiya and Pawakhola VDC
Per week US $ 10 (first 4 weeks) per person per entry and after 4 weeks the US $ 20 per person per week till 4 weeks (or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
11. Taplejung District – Area of Kanchenjunga
Kanchenjunga Region (Olangchung Gola, Lelep, Papung, and Yamphudin VDC - Per week US $ 10 (first 4 weeks) per person per entry and after 4 weeks the US $ 20 per person per week till 4 weeks (or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
12. Bajhang District
Areas of Kanda, Saipal and Dhuli VDC - for the first 7 days the US $90 per person per entry and after 7 days the US $15 per person per day ((or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
13. Darchula District - Areas of Byas VDC
For the first 7 days US $90 per person per entry and after 7 days the US $15 per person per day ((or equivalent convertible foreign currency).
Note: No trekking permit fees below 10 Years Child.
