If you have a limit length of the days then you can drive to Dharapani (1986m) from Kathmandu. It takes about 10 hours drive by private vehicle. There are available public transportations also. This mini Manaslu trek would be 5 days and 2 days for travel to/from Dharapani. Thus, if you have 6 Nights 7 Days time then you can visit Ponkar Lake. It is one of the highest Himalayan lakes of Nepal in a short trek. While you trek up from Dharapani, each day you will see a different landscape including unbelievable the world eight highest mount Manaslu (8163m) majesty views. You can give a try hiking to Ponkar Lake within 7 days trek. You will be in a bowel by surrounding high and huge mountains of Thulagi peak (7016m), Ngadi Peak (7783m), Mount Manaslu (8163m), Larke peak (6560m), Mount Panbari (6900m), Mount Himlung (7075m), Mount Nemjung (7117m), Mount Gjadji Kang (6924m), and Mount Kang Guru (6918m). Ponkar Lake is situated in Manaslu Circuit Trekking route at 4117m. It is between Salpu Danda and Ponkar glaciers. The lake can see after Larke La pass while you trek down to Bhimtang. The trek camp distains are approximately region able altitude (except Yak Kharka 3000m and Bhimtang 3700m).
