Ama Dablam BC Amazing experience I am a female, traveling alone, for the second time in Nepal. The first time was a short trek to Poon Hill and since I like it so much I decided to repeat a longer trek in the Everest region this time using a different company. One of the things, I realized during the first trip was the guide is essential for a good trek since he just not only guides you, he also arranges everything in the teahouses, lodges, etc... The second important thing was that I need some better accommodations than regular teahouses. Attached bathrooms, with hot shower and clean sleeping beds, were part of my requests. Based on that, I look at different trek companies and Raju’s company replied quickly and fully to my requests. We worked on a budget that I can afford based on some “luxury accommodation” during the trek in the Everest region. I trekked for 12 days, from last days of October to the first week of November 2018, from Lukla to Pangboche to do the Ama Dablam Base Camp, and we were back to Lukla using a bit different trail. We used the Everest Summit Lodges that are really good, especially compared to teahouses in the highest altitudes where even pipes can freeze during the night due to low temperatures. The whole experience was amazing. Landscapes, villages, Buddhist monasteries, stupas, memories from first Everest climbing were everywhere. Weather was excellent during the whole trek and it helps that we can fly to Lukla on time for the trek. Early morning flights were advised due to clear skies and Raju arranged those flights accordingly. I did not suffer from any altitude sickness since we stopped two days in Monjo for a good acclimatization, but was lightly sick on the last day of my trek, and this point again my guide Raji arranged that people in the lodge delivered tea and soup for me to my room so I can rest at the end of trek day. Thanks for that. I would highly recommend Kailash trekking company since they fully fitted my expectations. From their welcome at the airport on the first and last day to the replies to my many emails before the trip, their attention was quick and kind. Logistics was managed efficiently by the guide during the trek and at the airports that can be chaotic without his extra assistance. Thanks, Raju.
