Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha in Nepal. The Lumbini lies in Rupandehi district. It is nearby India bordering but the Buddha was not born in India. Buddha was born in 563BC. Video Buddha’s real name is Siddhartha Gautam (a prince by that time of the place). Buddha was born on the way in Lumbini while his mother was going to her parent’s house from her palace Tilaurakot.

Buddha’s father name is Suddhodhan Gautam and mother’s name is Maya Devi. Lumbini is the worldwide well known that the birthplace of Buddha. That is why world Buddhist and non-Buddhist visits Lumbini and it is the biggest Buddhist pilgrimage site. 

About 12 years ago (in 2007), one of the most popular singers of Nepal, his name is Dhiraj Rai. He had to study in MA second year that the Buddha was born in India! The book was the History of Knowledge and in the topic of Buddhism in the 21st page. After that, he immediately went to the chief of the college then discussed it. One of the strongest points was found Xuanzang, a Chinese Buddhist monk. During his Buddhist sites traveling he visited Nepal, Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh around 7th centuries. He could not find himself the place of Buddha’s birthplace but he had gotten the information that there is a pillar where Buddha was born and written something in that pillar, he has written before he went back to China. Of course, at that time most deep forest or jungles, so it was not easy to be found the birthplace of Buddha due to civilization migrate. 

In a short way, according to Mr. Singer Dhiraj Rai, around 123 years ago there was ruled by British in India and Rana Dynasty in Nepal. At that time, the government of British who was ruling over the India interested to be found the birthplace of Buddha and the government invited to a Germany scientist Dr. Antoine Filion and started to find the birth place of Buddha. One day the group found a pillar in Lumbini and there was written in Bhraman language. The name of the Pillar is the Ashoka Pillar. It has a different story. Fortunately, that Scientist was known about that language and he wrote a book and published it in 1897 that Buddha Sakyamuni’s (redirect Buddha) birthplace was in Nepalese Terai. So, the book is the main proof that Buddha was born in Nepal. So, here is the matched the point of a monk of China “Xuanzang” who had been written that a piece of information about the birthplace of Buddha.

Unfortunately, the Dynasty of Ranas did not speak or write anything about the Buddha at that time. By the way, the British were ruled worldwide and trying to capture to Nepal so far but never ever could get success on it. Obviously, the British would not like to that the place would have in Nepal the birthplace of Buddha. That is why all books were collected and tried to destroy all by burning and after a year made in some trap to the Antoine Filion then singed on that Buddha was borne in India instead of Nepal.
